Crystal Images Crystal Images are a fine art prints that will last for decades. The creation process begins with the original oil painting. The painting, which is created using techniques of the Old Masters, is professionally photographed by a photographer specializing in capturing art on film. The film is then digitally converted and the artist makes a print using acid-free paper and archival inks. Each print is pulled by the artist. Once it passes inspection it is signed and prepared for the Crystal Image process. A wood “box” is then made (open back) and hand painted. The image is secured to the wooden face and then treated with a special process which creates the surface of the piece. This step takes several days, as multiple layers are added, each taking time to cure. Once completely cured it goes through a final inspection and then wired for hanging.

CARE The Crystal Image surface must be cared for properly. Normal sun exposure will do no harm. However, do not expose it to extreme sun or heat. It is safe in any room, including kitchens and bathrooms. Oil or moisture will simply wipe off. Use a soft cotton cloth to dust or clean. Use only Old English Furniture Polish to clean and restore your piece to its original luster. Never wipe with paper towels or other abrasive surfaces, nor use window cleaners or alcohol. Scratching the surface with fingernails or sharp objects will cause permanent damage. They are easy to care for and will bring many, many years of viewing pleasureCustom sizes are available.
